Our Bakery and Espresso departments work hand-in-hand to offer our customers fresh breads to enjoy with their meals and other treats to enjoy with a freshly brewed cup of coffee or espresso. (Open each day at 5 a.m.)

Everyday far before opening we start the day with deliveries from local bakeries stocking our bakery with breads right from the oven. We are ready to serve your morning caffeination ritual bright and early at 5 a.m. when we open our doors, proudly and exclusively brewing coffee from Caffe Vita.

Caffe Vita has been roasting coffee in Seattle since 1995 as an independent & locally-owned company. From our beginnings at the base of Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood, we now operate 11 cafes throughout Seattle, Portland, and New York. Caffe Vita coffee is always fresh, imported directly from the farm, and roasted on-site in Seattle, Brooklyn, and Portland.

From founder, Leslie Mackie: "Based on the model of the traditional old-world village bakery; the bread has unique characteristics because of the use of available regional ingredients. The rustic European breads and baked goods Macrina makes use as many indigenous products as possible as well as organic grains and natural ingredients. The bakers at Macrina love bread and that shows in the quality. This is bread that celebrates the tradition of breaking bread with family and friends. The Essential Baking Company was founded in 1994 by George DePasquale and the late Jeff Fairhall. Jeff founded Essential Foods, a startup company that made and sold wrap sandwiches. George came to Seattle from San Francisco to pursue his passions of baking and playing bass guitar. Luckily, George and Jeff’s paths crossed and they started a business selling George’s signature breads at the Fremont Farmers Market. Today we proudly provide breads, pastries, crackers and desserts to the finest establishments through out the Pacific Northwest including grocery stores, cafes, restaurants, schools and hospitals.
