West Seattle Thriftway is a locally owned and operated grocery store located in the heart of the Morgan Junction. Our goal everyday is to be a team of individuals that are passionate about food and exceptional customer service. We have great pride in what we do and the connection we have to our community.
Over the 33 years we have been serving West Seattle and beyond, the support we have shown to our community is evident! Since 1988 we have donated nearly one million dollars to local non-profits in West Seattle and King County.
This year our store made charitable donations in the amount of $2,000 in each of our deprtments names to help out during this difficult holiday season. Each department was responsible for choosing their charity!

We are proud to be able to give something back to our community with our 1% Cash Back program. It's our way of saying thanks to you, our valued customers. If you are interested in earning money for your charity or non-profit organization this is a program worth looking into.
Thriftway and Red Apple stores have teamed up with one of Washington State's largest providers of food for the hungry, Northwest Harvest, creating a new program called "Bag Local Hunger". Through this program and your donations we have donated over 5 Tons of non-perishable goods to local food banks.
Every spring we break out the grill on Saturday's through the summer to cook up lunch for a good cause. Our fundraising bbqs brought in over $50,000 for local organizations and charities like Pencil Me In For Kids, Mary's Place, West Seattle Helpline and The Seattle Humane Society since we began over 20 years ago.
We work hand in hand with the West Seattle Food Bank and The Salvation Army of White Cnetr on a daily basis. Not only do they come once a day for perishable and non-perishable food pick up (we are not one of those grocery stores that blindly throw food away), we hold regular fundraisers for them!
Last year we held a fundriaser for the West Seattle Food Bank in lieu of our regular Holiday Taste event. "Holiday Bounty Boxes" filled with over $700 of items donated by our vendors were raffled off. With matching contributions $40,000 was raised!
