Sweet, woody, spicy fruitcake and cinnamon reveal themselves on the nose. On the palate, the flavors are wonderfully balanced, no surprise given that the average age of the wine here is actually 15 years and not 10. Since there is no category for 15 year tawnies, Kopke simply chooses to label it as a 10 year tawny. This is just as tasty and elegant a 10 year tawny as one would expect out of this traditional house specializing in this style.
Aged in oak casks before bottling, this is a young, fruity port with a vibrant, sweet feel. This crowd-pleaser features plum and bright cherry flavors. The palate is smooth and balanced.
Wines with an intense ruby color, LBVs are bottled after having aged for 4 to 6 years. A LBV can be drank as soon as it is bottled and does not need to be decantered.

The craft beer movement has exploded here in the Pacific Northwest and likely so, the majority of hops grown in the United States are grown right here in the Yakima Valley. Due to this close proximity, we are lucky enough to get some of the freshest beers around!
