The scientific community speculates that celiac disease, or gluten intolerance has been around since humans beings made the switch from hunting and gathering species to a grocery shopping species. Luckily for those who suffer from it, today there is quite a market for products that cater to individuals with this disease, and what in your mother’s generation would be nearly impossible is made simple.

Tips for living gluten free (GF) easily:

Bone up on your label IQ

Surprisingly, gluten can sneak its way into a dizzying array of producst you wouldn’t think would contain it. Don’t ever assume, always read your label, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, dairy products and many prepared foods can all contain gluten.

Buy in Bulk

Buying in bulk is an economical way to stock up on GF foods. See if you can create a shopping group where you buy cases of your gluten free food staples, many stores (like ours) offer a discount when you buy a case.

Write it Off
